Hot shopping tips!!!

I enjoyed a successful shopping trip - finding two items I had recently just learned about - and highly recommend!
Tahuya neighbor Renie introduced me to two wonderful items; the first is a wonderful garden tool that works great for getting out dandelions and other weeds - "Grampa's Weeder". The second item, is a pumice stick ...had never heard of that - and neither had some others I asked to help me locate one. It's great for removing toilet bowl rings "when the strongest chemicals quit". I got both items at McLendon Hardware in Renton.

Tahuya Weekend ~ April 24-26, 2009

Last weekend of April ~ some nice signs of spring! Spent time in the yard, transplanting some raspberries, planted some on the bank at the beach house, and helped Renie clean the fish pond.

Jerry worked on barbecue parts and clean-up of construction debris - we delivered a load to the refuse center.

One of my "sometime" retirement activites...

As part of my "transition" to retirement, I've been blessed with the guidance of several mentors! Friends Bev and Trina (also retired teachers) intoduced me to the ELLEN show ... it makes a great 11AM "recess" break from whatever else I may be doing. Although I don't see it every day, I really try to catch the first 15 minutes or so when I can - great for laughs and an opportunity to get up and dance (free exercise)! Lucky me - a nice belated birthday gift arrived in the mail ... an ELLEN T-shirt!!!
